Recipe For Homemade Hot Chocolate

This recipe for homemade hot chocolate must be made when needed. It can’t be stored. For a hot chocolate recipe that can be stored visit our drinks section.

Ingredients

2 cups of milk
½ cup of cream
5 ounces of milk chocolate
2 ounces of dark chocolate
Vanilla

Put the milk and cream into a pan and bring almost to boiling point. Turn the flame down and add half the chocolate stirring continually until it becomes very thick. Stir in the vanilla. Gradually add the rest of the chocolate to taste.

Poor into a mug and leave to cool until it is comfortable to drink.

You can also add some orange zest for flavor.

This hot chocolate has a vanilla flavor to it but you could also use mint, fudge or caramel flavoring instead of the vanilla. You can also leave out these flavours all together to have a purely chocolate taste.
